Puppy Health Did you get a puppy for Christmas this year? While a puppy can be one of the best gifts you’ve received, it’s important to know that they need a lot of care, especially their first year with you. Off the bat make sure to check what shots they have, and what they will need.

A series of vaccinations for your pup will keep them healthy and happy for the months and years to come. Here is the schedule for what your puppy will need, you could even print it and cross out the vaccinations as you go.

Puppy’s Age                         Vaccination

6-8 Weeks                             Distemper, Parainfluenza and Measles

10-12 Weeks                         DHPP, Parainfluenza and Paravirus

12-24 Weeks                         Rabies

14-16 Weeks                         DHPP

Also keep in mind that after your puppy’s first birthday, you are required by law to give them rabies shots every 1 to 3 years. So be sure to do the right thing for your family and its latest addition.
